Overview

Destajo Factory is an internal system I developed for a garment factory that pays its operators based on what they produce. Each production order includes its operations and a per-unit rate; the team records each operator's work, and the system processes the biweekly payroll, generates payment statements, and prepares files for the bank and accounting.

01

The challenge

At a factory that pays piece rates, payroll depends on thousands of records: which operator performed which operation, for which order, and how many units.

All of this was tracked on paper forms and Excel spreadsheets that were consolidated by hand every two weeks. It was slow, data-entry errors were common, and operators had no clear record of how much they earned or why.

02

The solution

I built the system in Laravel 12 with Vue 3 and Inertia, designed for fast data entry from a phone:

  1. 01

    Orders and operation sheets

Each reference includes its production order, quantities, and operations with their rates and standard times.

  2. 02

    Quick entry

Select the operator, operation, and quantity; the system calculates the amount instantly and makes sure it does not exceed the units produced.

  3. 03

    Operators and machines

Staff organized by factory area, with their bank account and machine.

  4. 04

    Biweekly payroll

Open, close, and lock amounts that have already been paid.

  5. 05

    Analysis

Production and pay by operator, area, reference, and machine.

  6. 06

    Reports

Payment statement for each operator, payroll PDF, bank file, Excel spreadsheet, and accounting report.

  7. 07

    Role-based users

Administration, data entry, and view-only access.

03

The result

Production payroll is no longer a task that takes days:

  • Operators

Receive a clear statement showing every operation they completed and what they earned.

  • Administration

Closes each pay period with the bank and accounting files ready, without manual consolidation.

  • The factory

Sees in real time how much each area produces and how much each order costs.
